The purpose of the HMA Association Australia and New Zealand

The Hydrocarbon Manufacturers Association (HMA) exists to:

• Promote compliance, safety, and best practice in the manufacturing, installation, servicing, and use of hydrocarbon refrigerants and associated equipment.

• Advocate for consistent national compliance, enforcement, and evidence‑based regulatory reform.

• Develop and publish industry standards, guidance notes, and best‑practice frameworks.

• Represent manufacturers and industry stakeholders to regulators including federal and state government agencies, border enforcement authorities, and workplace safety regulators.

• Support training, education, and public awareness relating to natural refrigerants.
